Background of the School (The basis for starting Light Academy Voc. & High school):

- To ensure the children from Set Free partner schools will continue to be discipled with Christian values.

- To ensure students in secondary school walk in their newfound freedom and become who God intended them to be.

- To have a home for the vulnerable children where they experience a biblical mother and father figure so they can someday raise families and reduce the high levels of dependency.

- To equip students to become free from the bondage of life and create a church that is free and live in their freedom and flourish wherever they go so others know they are different.

- To train children to become self-sustainable after they have faced different challenges in their community by equipping them with different skills to reduce dependency syndrome.

- To raise up teachers to train the head, hands and hearts of each individual student to develop transformation in their communities through service.
