Ebenezar lives with the mother and sometimes at their pastor’s home in Kyabakuza, Masaka city. Throughout her primary school studies, school fees and other requirements were always provided by the pastor who later failed due to a number of responsibilities he has.
The mother told her that they separated with the father when Ebenezar was one month old. Therefore for all this time, Ebenezar doesn’t know her father though sometimes they talk on phone. She also says that she has never got any support from her father.
Ebenezar and the mother live in a house a family friend who asked them to keep it since she lives in Kampala. So one of Ebenezar’s dreams is to build for her mother a house when she attains a bright future.
At home, Ebenezar engages in house chores and helps the mother in making snacks. The mother supplies these snacks to a nearby school canteen, from which she gets money to cater for the daughter’s necessities and school requirements.
Ebenezar wouldn’t want to be like her two sisters who never completed their studies due to lack of school fees. She believes God for provision such that she becomes a doctor and a very important individual in life.
