Personal Bio: My name is David Sperito Kazooba. Am 17 years old and a double - orphaned child and my father died when I was still young and I didn’t get a chance to see him. I used to stay with my mother at first who also died in 2022 December in an accident. We are three children born of my mother but to two different fathers. Despite the situation am in, God helped me to perform well at Primary Seven. I was able to get 10 aggregates in my Primary Leaving Examinations in 2022 from God Cares Community School. Right now, am staying with my paternal uncle with a family of seven children. This paternal uncle of mine has paid my school fees since when I was in primary three up to now. He was a fisherman but right now is not. The fishing activity at Kasensero landing site is limited due to government policies against poor fishing methods of which my uncle was part. He stopped fishing and as of now, he is unemployed and he doesn’t a clear source of income. Our survival at home has become hard due to lack of adequate basic needs of life and my uncle has failed to pay for my school fees. And he has decided to let me drop out of school so that he uses the little money he can get to pay fees for the young children in lower classes. This paternal uncle is the only relative I have in life because all my relatives on both my father and mother’s side passed on. And am the oldest son in the family. I became a born-again in 2018 when I was in Primary four at God Cares Community School. My step-mother is a born again too but my uncle is not. I wish to study if I get support and improve my family and other people’s lives. My uncle used to be a fisherman but now he is no longer. He is job-less yet is the only relative I have. My father, my grandfather and mother all died but I have to survive. I desire so much to study and become a responsible teacher who can improve my own life and the lives of others. It’s my prayer.
